Fall in Washington What Beauty

Well it is time of the year again, and though our Motor home is still in the shop, that does not stop us from doing some travel..
We love the fall colors in this state.  Some may say the northeast has great fall colors but we are taken away by the colors of Washington State in the fall. Diablo Lake.

There many places like Hwy 2 towards Winthrop

Or Winthrop itself

 Pearrygan Lake

And who can forget the wonder of Hwy 20 North Cascades, and . Oh what a great journey
We got so caught up in the beauty sometimes we forgot to take photos

The as we drifted into Leavenworth we had to go to Small woods and Prey's

Then there was

 Then We had to Stop

Sorry Vermont, *though you may have beautiful fall colors) but you cannot beat these wonderful Colors to me

Roy Robinson RV

First I am here to say I am sorry I have not posted here for a while, I was hoping to post our travels this summer and fall. BUT since I was in a coma the end of last year, we have done no travels, Dr, says traveling was not recommended til they know what the problem was, since this is the third of these and two in one year..

We are hoping to do more travel next year.  until then we are working on the house and trying to get in shape, with PT and Dr. doing test
We want to say Thanks to Roy Robinson RV in Marysville, WA for the help they have been, we put the RV in the shop for the yearly Checkup and was we surprised. Air bags and other problems, they have been great.
Having said that, let me tell you about Good Sam extended warranty program, while I was in a Coma last year they cancelled our membership, after being members for years. And since I was in a coma I was unable to renew our membership. But now since we put the Motor home in the shop after we had to renew our membership, they would not cover over 4000.00 of damages,  so we are now, including new tires, we are our over 7000.00. Oh they reimbursed us 2500.00, since the damage was done before we put the RV in storage, we should have had the RV checked out before we put the RV in storage, but we did not know I would be in a coma then.  Anyway, We now are out 7000.00 dollars, 2600.00 for tires, the rest for repairs, My advice Read the small print , it says if you go into the hospital before the renewal date, they will not cover the damage even if it was done before you went into the hospital.

Anyway be careful where you purchase extended service. There may be exclusions.
Having said that, I would always recommend Roy Robinson in Monroe, WA for purchasing RV or Auto, They Care about their customers.  I have had other friends who I sent there and they are way happy with their autos.
Wishing you safe and joyful journeys
John..

New Motorhome

So , againist our better judgement, and THIS IS OWN US, We went to a motorhome dealer, we told them what we were looking for on the phone and through the e-mail.
We were told in no uncertain terms "we can do more than other dealers don't give up 2 weeks before you find the perfect motorhome"  So we finally went down to Fife RV , in Fife washington, Met with the Salesman we had been e-mailing since the first contact.  we were told they would work with us on getting t5he perfect rv. and that we coupld look at all the rv;s on the lot.
So we arrived and ask for the salesame we had been e-mailing and talking to, (let me interject here, we were also contacted by a couple of other salesmen, sho also said they would work with us to get us in the RV we wanted.. which we sent them the followingHope the rv show went well.  We are still interested in the 2018 Coachmen Sportscoach RD 409BG if you still have it..  if not we will keep looking..
To which we received the message above.
After Talking to the salesman on the phone we felt confident we could make the deal. soi we drove to Fife, WA,,,70 Milea to look and see what thye had,, for some 70miles is not a problem , but witth my medical problems 70 mile in a car is right now is, (damage from injury while in the Army)When we arrived and met with the salesman, and the musical started, we did not get to see everything available, one of the motorhomes the steps would not let down, one we looked at had handles loose on the doors and looked like a 7 year old rv instead of a 2017 one. We finally ended up in and rv that did not have jwhat we were asking for , it had a bed over the driver, so no access to the cabinests above the drivers seat, no access to the TV over the drivers seat either.  it has a bench table and bench seating, not table and chairs as we had asked ofr. BUT we afgreed we could live with the table and chairs, but we did ask for the bed above the driver to be removed, and then the dance begin, would cost to much and even the salesman did not see what they put the let down bed so you could not access the cabinets..
After that another salesman was brought in, now we were being double teamed,  we talked and said it was not what we were looking for but maybe, still higher sales.  more promises...
then into the office, after a meal and then we were made more promises, yes we were given time to change our mids, then our orginal sales man came in and took our drivers licenses and went away, we did not get our licenses back until the deal was made..( now we were told on the phone this morning we could have left at any time, even thought they had our drivers license) from then on the salesman went away, and came back can you make this much of a down payment, then what if you make this much of a down payment, what if you make this much of a down payment,  we started out at 3000.00 with our motorhome trade, we went up to 6000.00 before we knew it and the action begin, one salesman after another and papers shoved in our face, told that "well it is one the paperwork , but they do not do that again, we will not do this to you"
Then we left, feeling like we had jsut been rushed into something. so this morning, we called (Less than 24 hours after we signed the contract) and told them we were having buyers remorse, the financil advisor and our lawyer finally called us back and said it was not a good deal and with in 6 months we would be busted,  so we called the RV dealer and toild them we were having buyers remorse, told we have two choices, loose the 6000.00 dollars down payment or take the mortorhome if they coould find financeing,,,
Fife RV is not a recommended RV dealer.. see my latter posrt... promised the moon and sold the lake front property in navada... we admit we did not read the small print, BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU BUY A VEHICLE THE SMALL PRINT CAN COST YOU...
We were promised a few things we will see if they live up to that...over driver head bed removed, Stain of the dinette coushin, and other items...
We wikll see, if they live up to the promises. if we get finances...
Stay away from Fife RV,

New Motorhome Search Beware

First of All I am sorry I have not been able to post on this blog for a while.  I have been in and out of the hospital and in a coma, my memory has suffered and I am finally getting better, but, as a result, I have not done much traveling.  We did make it up to a few mountains (see photo) Mt Baker Trip

We also did some short trips but nothing to write about, our motor home has been in storage, and until recently we have just been home bodies. But the good news come September we are back on the road again, God willing.

Just to fill you in we have been looking for a new RV, but have not found anything yet, We thought we had found one at a dealer in Everett, But when we went thru the process, and they were honest, they said no promise, but they would test the water and we were denied, so sad, because we really loved that RV.. (see photos)

then we continued to look and found one in Tacoma, which we contacted, BUT when we contacted the dealer, we informed them that we had been denied, and gave them all the information about our present Motor home and we told them we had been denied by another dealer, BUT, and this is important,  we were told “ we can do better than the next guy. We have a very talented and persuasive finance department. “ so we went thru the process, and in the end they were not as talented as he thought they were.

The reason we are looking for a newer one,  Ours is a 2003 Coachman, and we love our motor home, we have added a lot to it and did a lot of upgrades, BUT it is a 2003,  with very few miles and it is a diesel.

Anyway. To make a long story short we have learned when an RV dealer tells you that “We have very talented finance department”  run away…

Have a safe travels and be safe out there..

John
