What a Trip

Well it was some kind of trip, leaving our home and over to Leavenworth, and Alpine RV campground, great place, kind of tight for our RV and pulling car. but still we got in and out fine.  the Owner and host was great and helpful, we tried to stay an extra night, but they were booked, they said we could stay an extra night but a smaller site, and with 36ft motor home pulling a 7ft car tight is not an answer we were looking for.  location was great, across from Safeway, and close to downtown and the cost was perfect.

The city of Leavenworth was, as usual, wonderful, the shops we visited were preparing for Christmas, and the people, as always, were great.

Places to visit the ALPS store just before you get into Leavenworth,

We had dinner at PAVZ in Leavenworth and Breakfast at Annie's Waffle house. both were excellent, our meals were enough, I ordered the Waffle breakfast, one medium waffle was to small, should have been two, but the meals was not to big or to filling.  The dinner at PAVZ was filling, and plentiful for the price.

We left Leavenworth and drove to Winthrop, most of the stores were already closed for the season in middle of October, the town was full of people and no where to go except three finger jacks for dinner and a coupe of sporting good stores.  why they would close this early was surprising to me. lost alot of income from this.  dinner at three finger jacks was great, and we had a cinnamon from the breakfast bar, we ordered to go and ate the next morning. we stayed at Pearrygin Lake State Park

The drive over hwy 20 and the pass from Winthrop was at time exhilarating and fun and other time was boring, we were looking for fall colors and though we did see a lot of beauty and gold, reds, and oranges, because of the summer we had and the early fall the leaves were almost gone.

The views of Both Ross Lake and Diablo Dam Lake was breathtaking,

All in all it was a great trip

Thanks for reading and see you out there

Recommendation Beyond Compare

As most people can tell you I do not recommend alot of companies.

Especally RV and Home Maintenance Work.

The problem has always beed customer serivce.  Once they do thework they disapear if something goes wrong, or their prices are so far our there that they are priced out of the market.

You will hardley find any company who will be both customer minded and fairly based.

BUT I found two
As you know I highly recommend Roy Robinson In Marysville,  (It has to be said here I get no special treatments for my recommendations NOR would I accept one) The customer service and People who work there all have been trained first in customer service.

I also Found nother company I highly recommend Home Tenders of Everett  , Dennis Keith is the Best when it comes to getting it right and making it right. fair based and honor and integrity driven..

You will not find any better business in the Everett/Lynnwood/Marysville/Monroe area Dennis is quality and honor.  He gets it right.....If you want to find them just let me know because from Home repair to inside RV repair.. Dennis knows what he is doing..

Thanks for reading this Blog.

Home Depot does not equal Customer Service

Once again the example of our currenty society has come forth.
So I need a new washer and dryer and go to home depot to check them out. we find one we like and order it. the date and time is set for them to deliver the washer and dryer and since they can't say an exact time, they give me between 3 and 7 pm...so the crew shows up at 6:30PM and walks into the laundry room and starts making excuses why they can't deliver and setup the washer and dryer.

I tell them to jsut leave the washer and dryer in the laundry room and I will set it up. they say they can't, so I call Home Depot and while I am on the phone with home depot the crew leaves with our washer and dryer, mand the person on the phone says. "They a;lready left and can not return"  Just another reason we will not be returning to Home Depot for anything else.

It is hard to recommend any store who does not get customer Service.  It is hard to return to any store who is such a horrible delivery service.  They promise delivery and set up, they sell you a washer and dryer, but you have to buy the Cord for the dryer seperate, (Who can plug a dryer in with out anelectrical cord) then they sell you the Vent hose seperate, then they sell you the water hoses for the Washer seperate, (like using the washer without the water feed hoses will work. then what seemed like a deal of a price goes way to much.. but you need a washer and dryer.

After 2 hours on the phone with 4 differant people I finally get the manager of the store I ordered the washer and dryer from, she tells me she can't get them back, she can't do anything, and I will have to wait till the next day (another day of sitting around waiting for them to deliver the washer and dryer and missing work)

I will not be returning to Home Depot for any thing from a nail to any big item.  I have destroyed my Home Depot card.  I thought they were better...I find they are not.

Wish Network

Have you ever had one of those days that just were hard to understand?

Let me begin by telling you that when we purchased the RV we had dish network installed, and in 2013 we took a one week trip, first with the motorhome, we had a wonderful one week trip.

But the dish satellite did not work, and we did not have cell phone service where we were.  So when I got back to civilization I called them and they tied over the phone to get it to work. BUT never could. So they gave me a credit for what we had paid.

Well because of health problems we just did not use the Motor home for another long distance trips till this year, and so I call dish to tell them we were going to use the satellite.

The person said it would be 10.00 to turn the system on so I said ok;-)

I would call them on Monday when we parked to turn it on.

I did, now they want to charge me 50.00 :-(

After 30 minutes on the phone trying to understand why they were charging me another 50.00 when I have a credit of 31.00 it was no good.

We have dish network anytime. But this was worthless.
I am letting all my friends know that in the three years we have had Dish network it has not worked.

I have been charged twice and not received any service.

Fishing Trip July 2015

First day of fishing Fort Casey Washington.

We have dish network anytime. But this was worthless.

I am letting all my friends know that in the three years we have had Dish network it has not worked. I have been charged twice and not received any service.

Now for fishing.  Our first day was beautiful and we had a few problems setting up but all is well now and just go up on the first full day.  We are ready to go fishing..  I will post as we go along...

First day we headed out to the sound and it was a warm day. The boat run great.  The camp site was great, right off the ferry gate, so we could load and launch with no problems...We had a few dings, but don't we all ways. The kings start running in two days. We are going out tomorrow to jig for some but testing the waters...The Kings are coming and we are just about ready...

Friday

It has been a great week with my friend and fishing, thought we only caught a few it was well worth the time of fellowship.  My wife is coming up tonight and looking forward to some quality two days with her.  Ft Casey is truly a jewel. I enjoy it everything we come up.  Though I do wish they had better sewer hookup and more power hookup I also understand the care that need to be taken when you're this close to the Puget Sound.

.

Well the trip ended with no incidence. it was a beautiful week of fishing although it was more of a sightseeing tour than fishing...lots of sitting and not much catching. but then again they call it fishing not catching..

The motor home did well. We purchased a new mattress from Wal-Mart thinking it would be softer that the one we had in it. But alas not so, it was rock hard.  Learned a lesson. try it out before you buy it...We returned it and they refunded the cost. But now we need a new mattress

Thanks for coming by and listening to my rants and raves...

RV Toad

My Dear Friends;

I do not know what explanitives I can use to explain what we have gone thru jsut to insure our RV gets in towing condition and getting our 2002 Trailblazer hooked up

We purchased a Tow bar for a great price, we found a brake buddy system that needed work but got it fixed for almost nothing, and witht he help of Roy Robinson and the crew in the RV Dervice department we goter done.  As you can see we are set for towing,

We ntook the RV in to get it dewinterized and had some problems with the steps, and a new radio system, then when all was done we went over today to Hook up the trailblazer to the RV for towing.

It was a challenge, but the Service Technician, David did not give up. he was patient in showing us how to hookup the rv and the wires, AND whne he could have stopped there and I think most world have, he went above the mark to insure the tow vehicle was safe, got the lights working and made sure we were in safe and sound travel.

Now we have the Trailblazer hooked to the RV and ready to travel. I was nerveous pulling a car behind the 36ft Motorhome. BUT we made it home, Mostly because the family of technicians and service managers at Roy Robinson in Marysville Washington cares about service, and peoples safety...

YOU Will NEVER go wrong with Roy Robinson in Marysville... NEVER in this writters opinion....

No We do not get paid not does any company advertise on my blog.  I have been to alot of dealers and Roy Robinson got it all.

The Joys of Travel and Having

The Joys of Travel and Having someone who has you back

My friends it looks to be a great summer so be careful out there.  The weather is looking great so Tracy and I decided to go for it, then we found out our old trusty worthy Trailblazer
needs new boots, and we then decided to put aa tow bar on the front. so we coould tow it behind the motorhome.  So we went to the best dealership we could find in washington state, (and I say that after We have purchased cars and trucks from several dealerships in western Washington)  Roy Robinson chevrolet, Subrau, Motorhome,  I tell you this because I have never found a dealer who believes in customer service and support..Roy Robinson and the general staff have it down pat. they not only kept the repairs aand assembly in our budget but they found us rebates and HONESTLY took care of us. and I am not getting any bonus or pay for this, I do not advertise for any company, but Roy Robinson, and the staff. from Mark King , General manager, to Jake Hensrude, Matt In and crew in RV Service, John and crew in RV Sales,
The whole crew everyone is just above par.  now we can go without worry of safety and concerns..

To the GREAT people at Roy Robinson Ground up.. you can bet they will treat you better than any other dealer we know of

Verizon -- Watch the fine Print

I have been with verizon for over 10 years. Up until now I have had some ups and downs wiht customer service and now that I am not under contract it seems the service got better.

I called this yesterday because my LG Dare went berserk, and I could not access anything on it.  So I called to see if I could get another phone.  I spoke with one Customer service in the business department as I (thought to my surprise) I had a business account, since every time I usually call in they put me over to the business department.  But the phone the person talked me into getting did not have the type of phone I wanted., so I called back today, once again to the business department and talked to another person. who set with me and we went over several phones and could not really find one I could afford right now...I am a disabled Veteran and on SSI disability, trying to keep a business alive.   I honestly did not believe I should be under a contract, because I have been a faithful customer so long.

Anyway. went to Walmart and they found me the same phone that the person in the business department (I think his name was robert, sorry memory not all that good) anyway so I called from walmart with the help of the manager of the department we went thru two phones and then I was told that I was not under a plan that would allow 4G cell phone...WHAT??? I am with Verizon, who does Cell phone cervice, and I have been a faithful customer for years...and yet I am told now I am not on a business plan??? I was told 10 years ago I was on a business plan, when I get the bill it is in my business name. A1 Computer Tutor.  This is my blog....and I am posting this on my blog...Verizon has lied to me for years and I trusted them, and now I find I can jsut get another phone with out a new contract...BS

2007 We bought a boat

Hello My Friends

Well I know I have not been on this site much.  Just wanted to updte you all on what is happening.

In 2007 While i was working we decided to purchase a boat, from Olympic Boat Center.

We picked up the boat, after 3 weeks and 2 hours of waiting, we purchased new kicker motor, New Electronic Downriggers, New GPS, and new equipment and saftey equipment.  We were told by Olympic that all maintenance would be done and they would insure the boat was sea worthy, because it was a used boat,  We were leery of the condition. BUT, since we were purchasing it from a reputable business, and not a used car lot, we felt that the boat would be safe.

As it turns out 1 hour after we picked up the boat, jsut out side of Everett Boat Launch, this happened.  (see web site)  http://www.komonews.com/news/local/7126756.html?tab=video

My wife Tracy almost lost her life on this boat, and I injured my shoulder trying to statr an outboard that would not start. Our friends Dennis and Karen barely got off the boat before it sank...  It was later determined by our insurance company thaat "NO MAINTENANCE WAS DONE ON THE BOAT, THE FAN ON THE MOTOR WAS RUSTED CAUSING THE MOTOR TO HEAT UP AND MELT THE PIPES THAT CARRY COOL WATER AROUND THE MOTOR, AND WHEN THEYMELTED THE WAS PUSHED INTO THE BOAT AND THUS CAUSING THE BOAT TO SINK"

We went back to Olympic two days latter, and the manager told us they would replace the boat, and while it was their policy to send a salesman out with new boat owners they did not with us, and he did not know why.  He was apologetic and want to make all things right.

We were put in touch with Hartford Insurance Claims department but they stalled and stalled so I wrote to the Insurance commissioner of Washington State.. After a month

Subject: HARTFORD UNDERWRITERS INSURANCE COMPANY Closeed Case: 1011395
To: dustywriter@yahoo.com
Date: Tuesday, September 6, 2011, 4:12 PM
Mr. Worley,

We were able to match your current email with our prior case 1011395. At that time analyst April Findley handled your inquiry, and she responded to you with a 12-6-07 letter. At that time she said that the insurer was working directly with your attorney regarding the  4-20-07 boating incident and that upon settlement Hartford would consider the medical expenses. The relative text from analyst Findley’s letter said:” The company has indicated they will consider the medical bills and wage loss when reaching a settlement for your claim. “
However now the insurance company is saying thy won't fulfill their promoise.  So for the past 8 years Hartford has stalled and my lawyers hand is tied because Olympic filed for bankruptcy protection.  So we loose.  I am only sharing this with you all to warn you of anyone affiliated with the previous Olympic Boat Center, or Hartford Insurances company are crooks and do not pay the claims they are supposed to pay.

In closing I will tell you that after the accident I went to a doctor because I was having pain in my right shoulder, and because of my previous Job, which the company would not hire me back, I wanted to make sure the shoulder injury was caused by the boat accident.. I did a lot of research and questioning. (I used to drive a truck where we had some people complaining of shoulder pain from throwing straps) BUT, my doctor and Neurosurgeon said the damage to my arm had to have been done by the boat injury)

Thanks to all for visiting the site and reading my exploits and adventures. I am hoping this year we can add more here
